09 Nov My Participation in Montemapu Festival 2020
This experience was very special for me, as the “Montemapu festival” is the biggest psytrance festival in Chile.
When I received the invitation I felt very happy and honored as they were appreciating my early art career.
I wasn’t really sure whether to participate as I didn’t feel good enough by that time and I didn’t have much confidence in myself as an artist.
I received two invitations, one by David Ortega (dby arts), a Chilean visionary artist who was organizing the festival’s psychedelic gallery. It was very exciting to receive this invitation as I had never shown my paintings to other people before. David motivated me, gave me several tips and I decided to go. I knew it was a great opportunity for me to show my art.
On the other hand, Víctor from “Entes deco art”, responded to the request about helping in the elaboration of the roof of the festival. So I was also going to be part of decor’s team for the festival.
Everything worked out amazingly. I had a beautiful experience and met tremendous artists and collaborators who were part of the Montemapu 2020 team.
I traveled by myself to Santiago with my paintings for the gallery and ready to work in the decoration of the roof of the main stage.
We were going to recreate a tree, so our mission was to paint the structure of the tree and the branches. It was challenging, but we managed it thanks to the help of the Argentine artist @acidviciouss, and it ended up looking great.
The art gallery was very beautiful with amazing artists that were part of the expo; there was @dbyarts, @diente.de.sable, @neblulosadeb, @shushadiscurpa and @hildafannyestela
I wasn’t at the expo very long because I love to dance and I’m not a big fan of talking about my paintings, I feel that each person sees what they need to see.
It was a very special experience, I met very nice people and I learned a lot, as an artist and as a person.
Since then I have been part of the “Psychedelic Art Collective” Chile.
